In July 1999, we flew three experiments,
1) Bubble interactions with 1,6 hexanediol diacrylate frontal polymerization.
2) A free floating apparatus to investigate miscible fluids.
3) Frontal polymerization of hexyl acrylate, using an apparatus
built at Marshall Space Flight Center and flown by Steve Spearman (Project
Manager for our project) and Doug Westra.
J. Pojman injecting a drop of glycerin into water. The MSFC apparatus is in the background.
Pojman lets the apparatus free float during a low g.
Steve Spearman (green flightsuit) and Doug Westra (white shirt) operate the MSFC hardware while Pojman observes.
Pojman holds the miscible fluid apparatus while seated in front of
the USM hardware.
