11th National Graduate Research Polymer Conference, June 1 -4, 2014

General Information

The 11th National Graduate Research Polymer Conference will be held at the Lod Cook Hotel on the majestic campus of Louisiana State University. Louisana State University is located in Baton Rouge, the capital of Louisiana. Baton Rouge is a one hour drive from New Orleans. The Baton Rouge airport offers direct flights from Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, Houston, and Memphis.

 

Who Should Attend? Graduate students and recent graduates in polymer science who

  1. want to learn about career options in polymer science;
  2. want meet representatives from polymer industry and government labs;
  3. want to learn about current polymer research from their peeers around the nation;
  4. want to share their polymer researhc with their peers from around the nation;
  5. want to network with other young polymer scientists;
  6. want to enjoy the superb Louisiana cuisine.

There is will a contest for art prepared with polymers so be creative! Contact Kylee Fazende for more information.

Participants will be able to submit their résumés for consideration of companies that will be interviewing at the conference, including:

Registration

 

The early registration fee (by May 8) is $50 and includes Sunday dinner as well as lunch and dinner on Monday and Tuesday. After May 1, the cost is $75.

Hotel rooms are $100 per night for a room with two double beds, WiFi and a sumptuous breakfast. When you register, you will receive the "secret code" for the hotel registration.
